Child Custody and Support
Rachel Li, Attorney at Law • Plano Divorce Lawyer
If you are entitled to receive child support, or have been ordered to pay child support:
In certain circumstances, the courts are authorized to modify previously ordered child support, either
raising or lowering it, depending on circumstances that may have changed since the original order.
At the Law Office of Rachel Li, we will
advise you on your rights in such circumstances, and can, if appropriate, request on your behalf that the
court modify its current child-support order.
On the other hand, if you feel that the original order should not be changed, but the other parent is
requesting a change, we can advise you on your rights and help you present to the court your reasons why
support should stay the same.
If you are entitled to receive child support but it is not being paid as ordered:
At the Law Office of Rachel Li, we will advise you on the
courses of action most likely to get the support your child needs as quickly as possible. We understand that in this
set of circumstances, your first priority is always to get the money that you need to support your child adequately,
and we will always work to resolve your case in the shortest time and at the least expense required to get the
results your child needs.
